Michael Kasten

Founder – Kasten Financial Services

Michael has more than 25 years of progressively responsible  experience in the accounting field.   Michael began his career  with a Big 4 firm and has spent the last 15 years following his entrepreneurial desires, starting Kasten Financial Services in 2002 and holding executive positions in a variety of companies in growing industries, including technology, eBusiness, auto sales and finance and social media.

Among his significant positions, Michael served as Corporate Controller at Greens.com and Honeywell’s eBusiness, unit as well as CFO for Golf Now and most recently StockTwits.  In these positions, he has been charged with managing internal and external financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, SEC reporting and guiding companies through acquisitions and several rounds of venture capital raises.  Michael currently serves two of Phoenix’s top and most active private equity funds.

Re-focusing on KFS allows Michael the opportunity to assist growing and established companies by utilizing his GAAP expertise from his days at a Big 4 firm, knowledge of systems and process from a fortune 50 Company, and experience as CFO of technology startups to create an accounting services offering ideally suited to small, growing companies.
